FIRST snow day EVER!!

After driving an entire day through snow covered Arizona en route to Provo, Huntie, Michael and Elle's famished appetite for snow was FINALLY satisfied in Great Grandma Adams' white backyard.

Man, the crusty tops of the snow made PREFECT snow disks. Or "icebergs," as Huntie referred to them.

What the . . .

Huntie helped Michael put his snow boot back on - many times. I can't understand how they kept coming off. Maybe it was because Mike's dear great grandma loaned him and Huntie HER snow boots to weather their first play in the snow. She's so awesome.

SNOWBALL FIIIIIGGGHHHHTTT!!

Yum, remember doing that? She loved it.

These kids played in the snow almost every day we were in Utah. They never got enough. I'm so proud. :).

9 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed!

Well, 10, if you count grammy.

Grammy bought all her little monkeys, including 9-year-old Agustina in Argentia, little monkeys and sweaters to match. All monkeys present jumped on grammy's bed in celebration! Chris 9, Dyami 9, Huntie 8, Michael 5, Nathaniel 5, Roland 3, Scottie 2, Ellie 2, Bronson 3 months, grammy - no comment.

Roland and Nathaniel are so handsome! What cute brothers!

Baby Bronson was so patient through this whole process. He's such a sweetheart.

Huntie Bear, ever the showgirl. She'll be such a great celebrity one day. She's always ready with a pose.

Chris and Dyami were inseparable little monkeys.

Ahh, my 3 little monkeys. :X

T'was the Night Before Christmas . . .

... and at Grammy's house,
All the cousins were stirring -
their presents to pounce.

But just before gifts,
the true meaning we thought
was much more important
this night to be taught.

So Christmas Eve celebrating
started quite sweet
with a Navitity Scene
of our little ones sweet.

Then on to the wrapping
the ribbons and bags
the little kids carfeully
read each gift's tag

From grammy and papa,
aunts, uncles and more,
We even saw thoughtful things
not from the store.

Our granny and papa Chuck
made the long trek
to share this dear holiday
with grandkids up to their necks.

The night ended well
with love all around,
this Voisin Christmas Eve
and its memory abound.

Boy Language

Michael approached the dinner table this evening quietly singing a song of his own creation to himself.

Huntie: "WHAT are you singing?"

As matter-of-factly as possible, and without hesitation, Michael's response: "Boy language."

Michael's Case of Dentistophobia

Poor Michael. He tried so hard to be brave. I believe he had every intention of going through with it this time - you know, the teeth cleaning thing. But, if a picture is worth a thousand words, you see below the story of my poor child's progression from kinda ok, to totally stressed, to are you seriously putting that thing in my mouth??

He didn't get a cleaning this visit, but he at least made it to the chair this time. Next time, maybe X-rays!!

Lunchdate with Grammy and Papa

Ellie and mommy got to have a lunch date with grammy and papa. Ellie was such a mooch - and grammy and papa didn't mind one bit.

We're Hibernating

"What are you silly kids doing?"

"We're hibernating!" Michael said. Then Michael continued to explain to me how certain animals hibernate through the cold winter months while there is little food.

Quite impressed, I asked, "How did you learn about hibernating Michael?"

"Diego."

All Hail Councilman Kevin!

He won!! Kevin Voisin won his very first election ever for the Terrebonne Parish Council District 6 seat!

862 votes 50.47% Kevin Michael Voisin, R
846 votes 49.53% Steven "Steve" Robichaux, R

16 VOTES!!

Thank you for your votes and all your amazing support! This is because of you! Woohoo! Kevin is so excited to get started working for Terrebonne Parish.

It's so great to be the First Lady of Terrebonne Parish District 6 ;)

We set up a little party to watch the polls report the night of the election at Kevin's mom and dad's house. It turned into quite a victory party. Man, the two guys were neck and neck the entire time! Kevin won 7 out of 14 districts and his opponent won 7 out of 14 districts. Kevin just won his districts at a higher margin, but just barely!

For the entire week before the election, Kevin was calling registered voters in the district personally encouraging them to vote. He recruited his assistants, me, his mom, his dad, his grandpa, his grandma, his sisters, and all kinds of supporters in the community to call people we knew, and some we didn't, in the district to do the same. It was awesome. HE sent out a beaultiful mailer restating his stand. He also sent out another recorded message to all the registered voters the night before the election thanking them for giving him this great chance and reminding them to vote.

The day of the election, Kevin was on the phone again with his powerhouse family of callers. The kids and I went with him to multiple "Breakfast with Santa" parties at local schools in the district. Then, while Kev was at his office calling, the kids and I took to the streets in our homemade Kevin Voisinmobile going door-to-door reminding our neighbors to vote. We actually had a blast. But is was certainly exhausting.

Every little tiny effort helped though. Kevin won by such a small margin. It was more than enough, but it sure was close.

Kevin is already thinking of ways to do this job better. His constituents DEFINITELY chose the right guy.
